Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things.
Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings.
Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a boy's sense of belonging.
Pack 746 strives to help the boys of St. Pius X Parish in grades 1st through 5th grow in mind, body, and spirituality by offering programs that promote character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, family understanding, and respectful relationships.
Pack meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm (unless otherwise indicated) in the Communion Hall at St. Pius X Church/School.
Pack meetings are when all the Dens come together and receive awards for the accomplishments the have earned throughout the month. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend and cheer on the boys.
The Pack comprises 5 Dens who meet separately twice monthly in the St. Pius X Scout Room.
Boy Scouting, one of the traditional membership divisions of the BSA, is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least ten years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness.
Troop 746 celebrated its 60th Anniversary at St. Pius X in 2021.
Troop 746 was formed in 1961. We are committed to helping today's young men become tomorrow's leaders. We teach the scouts to be courteous, kind, helpful, and self-reliant while having fun. Scouts in 746 have numerous outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and canoeing throughout the year.
Troop 746 meets every Monday at 7:15 PM in the SPX Scout Room.
