ALTAR SERVERS
This ministry is for children who wish to serve God and the community. The altar server is trained to serve at Masses on Sundays and at other special celebrations throughout the year. The work of the altar server generally includes assisting the priest with the sacred prayer book and carrying the Cross and candles in procession and help to prepare for the celebration of the Eucharist.
The most important work is to be a model of liturgical prayer with grace and reverence and to give wholeheartedly to the public service of the community.
Please plan on arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled Mass time.
Dress immediately with the altar servers robe.
Be sure to choose a robe that suits you.
Always be ready to receive last minute instructions before the procession.
Hang your altar server robe on a hanger when you have finished serving each Sunday.
